This is the Start of Heading character in the Unicode standard. It used to mark a non-data section of a data stream, when that was needed. It is also the first alphabetically-sorted term on Urban Dictionary. It looks invisible here.

The Refugee Nation flag that only displays correctly on WhatsApp. This emoji uses a custom Zero Width Joiner (ZWJ) sequence, so when you copy and paste it into the WhatsApp app, it will look right. It is an orange flag with a thin horizontal black stripe, representing the proposed Refugee Nation of Syria.
