He tried to impress the girls with a huge curb grind but his wheel hit a rock and teetering on the edge of balance he flapped his arms to maintain composure for a distance before falling over and bagging himself on the board, flappity flap.

He was shunned as a ferd. Ferd was an outcast who's introverted reactions to it's stigma perpetuated it.
