when you are "talking" to someone, and you both like each other, but you are not dating or ready for the word love yet.

Mackenzie: "...soooo.... I went to lunch with Brady the other day!"
Alex: "Oh, are you guys talking?!"
Mackenzie: "No, we are just in-like."
