Perverted and stupid. Originates from one Hololive stream where the Vtubers were rated on an alignment chart of how pure (seiso) they are and how smart they are.
The phenomenon where a creative work designed to represent and/or celebrate a minority is hated by said minority for being stereotypical and degrading.
This effect is named after the Disney Channel animated series "Primos", which got a great deal of backlash for containing negative stereotypes and incorrect Spanish.
The opposite is the Speedy Gonzales effect, named after Speedy Gonzales, the Looney Tunes character who is both criticized for being a Mexican stereotype, and beloved for being a heroic, quick-witted, and lovable cultural icon by Latin-Americans.
In June 2017, the city of Philadelphia adopted a Pride Flag with additional black and brown stripes on top, intended to represent people of color. However, this flag and its further redesigns gathered backlash for being uninclusive, including from LGBT people of color. This is an example of the Primos effect.

a phenomenon where a creative work (e.g. a character or a song) is criticized to be stereotypical and degrading by white people, but beloved by the minority that they say they degrade
In the US, Avril Lavigneâs song âHello Kittyâ was slammed for racially stereotyping and sexualizing Japanese people, but it was received positively in Japan, since Lavigne has always publicly appreciated Japanese culture. The song is an instance of the Speedy Gonzales effect.
You know how Hollywood couldnât find black actors to play black characters, and instead repainted white actors in that position? And how thatâs called whitewashing and racial equality activists made a huge fuss about it?
What if Twitter âartistsâ took this month to celebrate black people, but they canât find black characters to draw, so they repaint non-black characters to fill that position.
Blacktober is when they do that racist shit for the whole of October.
âhappy #blacktober!! i drew naruto! #blackeditâ
Just as Affirmative Action intends to correct for racial inequality by advantageously treating racial minorities, Affirmative Racism intends to correct for racial inequality by discriminating against the majority race (i.e. white people in most environments where Affirmative Racism occurs). Affirmative Racism is often displayed by the same people saying that you can't be racist against white people.
"It seems like there's now a fair amount of vitriol, online and offline, towards anything that white people say, make, and do. Why's that?"
"It's called Affirmative Racism, and it's a signature move of identity politicians."
