Pulling a pete. Previously been known as "joining the bandwagon" and being in denial that you have, in fact, joined the bandwagon.
My neighbor the Lakers fan is "pulling a Pete" and acting like he is a die hard spurs fan because it is convenient at this time.
When 2 or more fans, that are watching a sporting event, witness a game changing or winning play and start to go nuts, jump around, and tackle each other.
A punt is blocked and the ball is picked up and a touchdown is scored by the defense. The fans proceed to jump off the couch, scream, tackle, and Fan Rape each other.
