When you actually have something to bring to the table, a collateral, something of a trade-like-manner, to get Amenities at Party or Nightclub, things of monetary, value for free.

"Hey Dan, do you think you get me comped on Thursday and Friday?.....Like 12:00?"
"Kelsy are you bringing me a party of 7 or more, to reserve a table? No?"
"I'm sorry Kelsey, I won't be able to comp you!"
