It stands for "Long ass laugh" and thus became popular amongst his friends.

Stands for Lucy, Alice and Lucy. Good way to distinguish that there are two lucys in a trio. Also nice to spell and read. In general a good word for a trio. Also symbolises two blondes ands a brunette.
