Definatly the best lyricist of our generation, and a great role model for any satanic musician (such as myself)looking to make it in the business, also he never falters to anyones defective belief systems, all these elements combined make him the juggernaught he is today .

A very popular music artist who represents why American music and American youth are simultaneously going down the wrong path. No, I am not a religious fanatic. No, I am not an old man. I believe Marilyn Manson is a punk and a fool for 3 reasons. 1) His appearance 2) His music 3) His anti-establishment views. Well regarding #1, he wears a corset during concerts, he wears grotesque makeup, and he looks like the most uncivil character you'll ever meet in your life. Regarding #2, may I first say that his music is an absolute horrific compilation of shit that represents most modern death metal bands. Even if he has no connection with the occult, his lyrics are borderline satanic. His fans say that his lyrics are very poetic, which might be true, but this is not the type of poetry that represents good American values. This leads me to #3. The main reason I believe he is anti-establishment, is because he basically defiles every Judeo-Christian moral ever conceived. The problem with Marilyn Manson is that he is the type of person that no parent would ever be fond of. The reason so many people believe Manson influenced the Columbine shooters was because of the image he creates of himself. If he would change his image, then there would not be so many death threats against him. Jesus, what a punk.

Marilyn Manson is a talented singer and musician. I admit that for years I was a huge fan of his music and his dark gothic image. Although I still love his music I have come around to the point where I have to agree with everyone who says they dislike Marilyn Manson on a personal level. Seriously, the guy is just a really big douche. He actually came out in an interview and openly admitted that he hates all of his own music. So, yeah, when people say he hates all of his fans, it's true. He pretty much thinks that we're all really dumb for buying into anything he does. And,he's totally fake and lies about pretty much everything. A lot of stuff he wrote in "Long Hard Road out of Hell" isn't even true. He has never used drugs. His actual girlfriend was incredibly angelic and sweet and wouldn't even mosh at his concerts, although they liked to lie and say she did. Apparently he liked her because she was "ambitious" though. And oh, by the way, this is another thing that makes Marilyn Manson a huge douche. He says the only women he likes are ones who are "ambitious" and "confident." And then in the next breath he says that he really loves Kim Kardashian. So, we all really know that what he's actually saying is: "I like chicks as long as they have lots of money." That's what he actually means by "I like confidence and ambition more than any body part." He's saying he is only turned on by rich women. Believe me I know this to be true from personal experience.
Marilyn Manson is a great musician. Buy all of his albums and listen to them, it's well worth it. Don't bother reading "Long Hard Road out of Hell" though, that book is total crap.

Call me crazy, but I don't think about it any further. I don't care if he's 'main-stream' or not, or if he believes in religion or not, or if he likes Avril Lavigne's music. Is it just me who realises you don't have to like an artist/musician/whatever to like what they do?? I'm sure I wouldn't like Marilyn Manson if I met him, and I'm sure there are plenty of things we'd disagree on, but that doesn't efin' matter. I like his music, without making it a religion. So lighten up!
And I don't know about you people, but I like his renditions of 'Sweet Dreams,' 'Tainted Love,' and 'Personal Jesus' better than the originals. So sue me.
