A great band from Chicago, that consists of 4 members including the lovely Greta who's the pianist and singer, they are described as a pop, folk, rock band.
I went and saw The Hush Sound last night, they were supporting Fall Out Boy

A regional vocational high school in New Haven, CT for the studies of Aquaculture and Agriculture. Usually refereed to as "Fishy school" or "Boat school" Sound contains students from participating school districts around southern CT.

Fantasy Band created by Revo. He is the Emperor of the group and the only permanent member.
-There are other members who are temporary members and invited by Revo for each CD. You've got to hear them sing it is really awesome. Some of the members are Aramari, YUUKI, MIKI, RIKI, REMI, JIMANG, Shimosky Haruka, Seajeki Ume, Joelle, Endo Mari....etc. (Jimang is the only male singer not including Revo) There are also music crew who play instruments. The guitar and violin is awesome in Soundhorizon songs.
-All the songs by Revo has a story. The story has characters.Most of these characters also have names so it is confusing at first, but after you get to know them, you'll adore them. The cover (or the inside) of the CD contains images of these characters drawn by Revo's good friend Yokoyan. In Sound Horizon concerts, the singers dress up as the characters. These costumes are commonly used for Cosplay(costumeplay). Some epic acting is also included in their concerts.
-There are 7 main albums currently(2011).

-A fan of Sound Horizon is called "Laurant".
-Some of the common SH cliches are "Sound Horizon Kingdom!"(international!), "Oh Moira!"(Moira)(means something like Oh my god), "Oui Monsieur"(Roman)...etc
-Revo is also a close friend of Kajiura Uuki (Kalafina, Fiction Juntion)

"Pet Sounds", to me, is the greatest adolescent soundtrack ever created.
It is truly one of the greatest albums of all time. Besides Black Sabbath's "Paranoid", Pink Floyd's "The Wall", and Iggy & The Stooges' "Raw Power", I'd say that "Pet Sounds" is one of the greatest soundtracks for adolescent life you'll ever find. Even I as a teenager today can relate to the lyrics, albeit the fact that this album is over 40 years old.
I dare you to find an alienated teen that isn't able to relate to "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times". Well, considering the fact that most teens are into the latest no talent ass clowns that are currently plaguing the airwaves, I bet you'll have to get him or her to actually listen to the lyrics without becoming bored first. I didn't believe the hype surrounding this album until recently, mostly because I thought of the Beach Boys as a 60's surfer rock band (I've heard most of their singles throughout the years, and like most of 'em).
Hopefully 100 years from now, "Pet Sounds" will be listened to, analyzed, and appreciated for its greatness.
Brian Wilson is a genius.
"Pet Sounds" is one of my favorite albums of all time, and one of the greatest albums of the 20th century. Period!

The process of taking a single pure sound, audio sample, or number of layered sounds and creatively using a variety of analog and/or digital effects to manipulate the original sound into a completely different one.
One of the most common sound sculpting instruments are synthesizers.
The simple act of taking a drum recording, running it through a low or high pass filter, a pitch and time stretcher, and then some distortion, could also be known as sound sculpting.
Some people into circuit bending will sample the sounds they record, and within a few hours of tweaking with effects, will /sound sculpt/ some lively ambient drones that are usually lowered in amplitude and placed behind recorded tracks to fill in some of the emptiness.
Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, and Crowesque are some good examples of bands who use sound sculpting to take common sounds heard around us each day and manipulate them into ambient textures, percussion sounds, or even lead synth noise.
