A resident of Staten Island most commonly seen wearing velour sweatsuits and/or black north face jackets. Commonly seen wandering around the Staten Island Mall. It can be difficult to distinguish one Stat Rat from another, as they all have the same hair cut/style.

Short for "Status hijacking".When someone takes over another person's social networking status by posting comments and banter,usually without the statee's online presence.Going off subject on the original status point.

A organization that gathers biased statistics usually to influence political discourse

A statement or statistic that is undeniably true. Inspired by "true dat"

Stat-Whore

A player who will do anything to increase their stats in a video game. These players have big egos and base their whole sense of self-worth on their stats in their favourite video game. These players are almost always Try-Hards.

Player #1: That guy wants me to help him boost. I don't wanna get called a noob for boosting.
Player #2: Yeah, he's such a Stat-Whore. I can't believe he cares that much about his stats.

Stat room

When the comments section on somebody's Facebook status is used to run a real-time conversation between any number of people.

Basically, turning anything posted on somebody's Wall into a chat room through mass amounts of comments directed toward each other.

Usually characterized by having to click "See More" in the feedback to look at all the comments, and responses within seconds of each other.

"Dude, I hate getting 64 updates just because somebody had to turn my wall into a stat room."

"Status: Going to the park in an hour
Best Friend 1: Dude, we never get to have a time anymore!
