Deriving from front-pony-tail, a frony-tail occurs when a man ties up the chunk of his hair that is usually hanging on his forehead or is slicked backwards, in a vertical pony tail in the middle of where the hairline starts at the forehead.
This can have multiple advantages especially in the hotter months of year, avoiding the hair sticking to the subject's forehead.

Picking up urban appeal on it's way the "tail fashion" the coloni-tail is historic, insighfult, yet ridiculous. The current rise in the coloni-tail has been attributed to Mel Gibson and Heath Ledgers' hair in the 2000 blockbuster movie the Patriot. A stereotypical coloni-tailer is in their mid-20's, delightfully unemployed, and loathes the idea of paying for a haircut.
