Using eBay or any other similar website, is when i person puts a item up for auction and want to get the highest possible price so uses a friend to place bids and up the overall sale price.
Greg: Hey, will you bid padder my Sony bravia on eBay, i want at least $600 for it, but im im only at $275
Tony: Yes sure,
Someone who Bids huge amounts for an item on eBay with no intention of paying either for a joke or to end your item as it is competing with their's.
John: Did you hear about those AK47 £5 notes going on eBay for £80,000.
Joe: No one actually paid 80 grand for a £5 note, it was just bid trolls racking up the price for a laugh.
It is the type of bidding, usually for a house, where the first impressions are very good but it's not what you actually want or need. You then knee jerk bid on it before thinking it through. Magpie bidders usually go away and withdraw their bid rapidly after thinking about it in more detail.
"It 'twinkles' I want it, let's bid now!"
Then sometime in the future:
"Don't like it"
It's ok love, don't cry there will be other bidders. They were clearly just Magpie bidding, can't believe they would mess with people's lives like that.
A tough predicament; an unpleasant or burdensome task.

One of the best TV shows in the UK. Catch it after a good old night of alcohol abuse.
Order things when you're smashed outta your face, wake up the next day non-the-wiser, wait a few days and random shit turns up at your door, you then precede to call your mates asking why it's at your door before you realise what you were watching when you were drunk.

Bid TV guy: Some letters and a gnome ornament for your garden.
Bidder: What the fu?... Oh, this is gonna cost me.
