Akin to its sister phrases the Deep Web and Dark Web, the Dim Web refers to the parts of the Internet hosted on social media sites that have completed their process of enshittification.

These sites are usually devoid of original thought or content and only the dimmest users remain. The sites also often require the user to log in to view any content to maximise user tracking and profits.

The non-sarcastic equivalent of a bright idea. Basically, an idea that is obviously stupid and not very bright/smart.

Joe had the dim idea to try to drive 500 miles in a car with a bad transmission. As a result, the car broke down and his ass got stuck in the middle of nowhere.

The Vice-President of the Condo is a dim bulb. We call him Dimmy. The only Champagne he drinks is flat like a dim bulb.
