stumbling distance

A distance that can be traveled on foot when drunk. Often stumbling occurs which slows down the process.

Guy 1: Want to go to the pub?

Guy 2: Nah, let's just drink at the sports bar, it is within stumbling distance from my house.

Australian distance

A very long distance between isolated places. If the place you are in is so far away from everything, you have to travel for hours through empty country just to get anywhere there's people.

"O yeah! You live in the Pacific Northwest! Distances there are Australian!"

"We're in the middle of the desert!!! ... Civilisation is, like, an Australian distance away!"

"It would be fun to go over there, but I'd have to drive an Australian-fuckin' distance just to get there and I'm already tired."

graceful distancing

breaking up without the traditional negative actions and emotions of anger, jealousy, rage, depression, down-rapping the ex, burning things they left at your house, calling up the new gf/bf and screaming at them. Breaking up without sacrificing the friendship.

A friendly uncontested divorce - where the individuals do not need lawsuits and TROs - is an example of graceful distancing.

My husband Jim and I are graceful distancing, but we are not divorced yet. He moved out without any screaming or blaming. We are still friends.

We split the weekends with the kids. We both go to parent teachers conferences. We each kept our retirement accounts. I asked for child support but no alimony.
We still do Thanksgiving & Christmas and birthdays together with the kids, and we have talked about integrating our new lovers next year.

Brim Distance

Brim distance defines how far away from another man's face you can get, before it's considered "homo". When you're in a fight, and two men get "all up in each other's face", they can only get so close, before it gets intimate. This distance is measured by "brim distance". If you are wearing a hat (59fifty is recommended for maximum distance) and your brim is touching the other man's forehead, then that's within brim distance and "no homo". However, if you are any close than brim distance, it just became sexual.

Person 1: What did you just call me!?!?
Person 1: *Gets up in the other man's face*
Person 2: Wow wow wow, you just got way close than brim distance man. Chill out with that, it's gettin' creepy.
