Label Basher

Derogatory New Zealandish term for someone who only wears branded clothes, such as Starter Jackets, Stussy T-shirts, New Era hats and Reebok pumps.

A label basher would rather wear fake branded clothes than be seen in something from The Warehouse.

Aw Manu how did you afford those Rollerblades au? What a label basher!

label jockey

A label jockey is someone who wont wear clothes unless they have some type of brand name "label" on them, abercrombie, hollister, north face, ect. wearing the clothes is what makes them a "jockey" of the brand. their items of clothing will usually have the name of the company clearly shown. Label jockies are usually rich suburban kids whose parents will buy them whatever they want.

look at that label jockey, her shoes are birkenstocks, her jeans are abercrombie, her shirt is hollister and her bag is gucci.

Label and dismiss

An argument device similar to the "straw man" where opposing points are rebutted with a simplistic misrepresentation of the argument or the opposition themselves. These responses are meant to attack the credibility of the argument or arguer, not respond to an actual argument. As such, once they are delivered, both the argument and arguer are voided.

Popular in discussion of politics, specifically on the Internet and cable television and radio talk-shows.

Label and dismiss:
Person 1: President Bush's trip to China was a success.
Person 2: You're a neocon.

Black Label

Designers make different types of collections & somethings when it is really exclusive they refer to them as their black label brand. It's usually an obscene amount of money more than usually, as in an Oscar De La Renta dress for 3,900 dollars & a black label dress would be 12,300. The difference is noticable & those that know about it, are the ones that can afford it.

"Darling, look, it's Jimmy Choo's black label, there's only three pairs left?"

"Marc Jacobs makes all sorts of cheap clothing & accessories, but to find his black label you need the third floor in Saxs in NYC."

warning label

The existence of warning labels is proof that Darwin was right, this sticky piece of paper keeps Americans from going extinct.

(Since most ACME props lack warning labels, the coyote has a pretty rough time.)

Warning label found on rat poison:
"Has been found to cause cancer in laboratory mice."

And another warning label on the rear-view mirror of a car:
"CAREFULL - Remember, objects in the mirror are actually behind you."
