Common phrase used in the underbelly of society amongst the criminal fraternity for making a healthy profit by selling on assets, more often than not illegal substances.
E.g. 'I got an Oz for 7 Quid and flipped it for 20 quid overnight' 1 Quid = £100
In the sense related to Filipinos, flip can be an acronym and a word.
acronym flip: "fucking little island person" used by U.S. troops long ago during times of war
word flip: short for Filipino used by ignorant Filipinos and others
Even though the acronym for flip can be changed to flatering, kinder things; flip should not be used by anyone who actually respects filipinos. Instead of using the word flip, use words like pinoy(pinoy for girls), and filipino(filipina for girls).
