A candy goth is a person who dresses in all black, and paints thier fingernails black, and all the gothic stuff. Yet, they are not disturbed, they are actually very happy people and like happy things. They could like happy music, like Good Charlotte and/or Simple Plan.
Lets say you see a girl walking down the street wearing all black, and has her hair died black. Then you see that she is smiling and laughing with about 3 other people who look normal. That person is a candy goth.

A common nick-name used for the late rapper lil peep He often used the phrase in some of his music (can be heard in the background of the song "pictures 2" ft. Lil tracy) it was also his Twitter name :)
Person 1: Hey goth angel sinner posted another song on sound cloud hours ago
Person 2: Who??
Person 1: Lil Peep obviously who else would hold the name goth angel sinner!!
When you're wearing all black and a trucker come up and asks you if you're a soft goth.

An old school goth is one who listens to goth rock that was recorded and released from 1979-1985 (the prototype goth era) before the goth subculture embraced techno, goth metal and industrial music. These old school goths do not always wair overtly costly clothing like modern goths and are often be found in more everyday clothing. Old school goths will often listen to bands such as bauhaus, The Cure, The Damned, Siouxsie and The Banshees (in other words, post punk and goth rock) as well as various other genres that influenced or are asscosiated with the early goth movement such as dub, reggae, punk rock, glam rock and genres that influenced early goth rock. Most old school goths never listen to goth metal and certainly object to the commercialism of the goth subculture and fashion as seen by mall punks and mall goths whom don't even listen to goth rock.
Old School Goth: I listen to Bauhuas and siouxsie and the banshees, then I listen to some of Iggy Pop and David Bowie.
New School/Mall Goth: Dude get with the times. listen to marylin manson he's fucking dark and hardcore, eww ya I got the new evanescance CD they're awesome goths.
Oldschool Goth: Fucking little teenage poseur.

more about the image than the music; you know those eye-make-up-wearing freaks with excessive jewelry, chromey studs and (of course) layers upon layer of black leather or cotton? that's the image; the music could manifest as death, gore, black, doom, whatever... usually hella keyboards like industrial, but more melody than distortion. but don't take it all too seriously. this is one image best seen as the bulge in one's cheek.

Someone who labels themselves goth and or punk; yet doesn't know the true meaning of goth/punk. They usually just label themselves that because they think it makes them "cool".
poser goth/punk:"I'm goth. I listen to my chemical romance. I hate my life. And I wear black clothes cause it makes me look goth."

poser goth/punk:"I'm punk. I listen to green day. I wear eyeliner like billie joe cause it makes me look punk."
