80's mentality

Of or pertaining to extreme dominance. This type of mentality describes that which was commonly seen during the 1980's. Competition, wealth, and power were of extremely high importance during the decade so it was both expected and common for an individual to go above and beyond on a consistent basis.

"William Wallace had an 80's mentality during the Battle of Stirling." -A reference to the scene in Braveheart when William Wallace soundly defeated the English.

Bumper Sticker Mentality

An inability to examine an issue in depth. An inability to get beyond the basic thought, which sticks in their head like a mantra, closing off all other avenues of consideration.

Due to Larry's bumper sticker mentality, he was unable to understand the nuances of an issue beyond a basic premise, as in "guns don't kill people, people kill people." He lacked the ability to think beyond the bumper sticker.

Mental Blue Balls

The result of an increasingly stimulating conversation that has an inconclusive or overly disappointing outcome.

Also used to describe the physical discomfort or displeasure felt after hearing a succession of lengthy jokes with dimwitted or inane punch lines.

Mental blue balls is often characterized by a dull headache or a distinct physical feeling of dismay, despondency, or dissatisfaction as the afflicted individual realizes he just wasted his valuable time and is "left hanging".

Dude, that comic told so many stupid jokes I have mental blue balls.

I got major mental blue balls today after two hours of brainstorming awesome ideas for killer iPhone apps, but no one had any idea how to implement them or even any project plans to get started.

Gutter Rat Mentality

Is an unintelligent and uneducated person, who has a very low-level of thinking; who bases their knowledge solely on their personal bad experiences in life; and they find negative in almost every situation no matter what! Their reasoning and understanding skills are very limited.

For example:

A person with a “Gutter Rat Mentality” will think if one girl in the club is a whore then ALL the other girls in the clubs must be whores also!

A person with a “Gutter Rat Mentality” will think if a man does not control his wife, he’s a weak man but in reality he’s a confident man who does not have trust issues.

A person with a “Gutter Rat Mentality” will think if his girl has lots of female’s friends then she must be a lesbian, but in reality she’s a social butterfly.

A person with a “Gutter Rat Mentality” will think if his girl wears nice clothes to work then she must be having an affair with her boss, but in reality she just like to dress nice to work.

Typically people who have a “Gutter Rat Mentality” are of low economic status, not successful in life, have not experience life outside of the area they grew up in, highly insecure, and typically blame others for their failures.

Don't waste your time explaining anything to Tyrone because he has a gutter rat mentality!

Mental health advocate

A legitimately crazy b*tch on the internet; usually a jobless e-girl with expensive tastes. The self-perceived noblest calling of useless “influencers” everywhere.

Used as a self-described label in order for her to justify her internet presence as a “legitimate service” (to whom? Humanity presumably) which really consists of posting a slew of bikini selfies (not that there’s anything wrong with that.. ) regularly interrupted by tearful emotional cries for help, rants against people they feel have slighted them, and “inspirational quotes” of dubious value and provenance.

She lists “mental health advocate” on her resume, is that what her OnlyFans are paying for?
