southern rap

also called southern rap, is a form of American hip hop music that emerged from a late-1990s club-oriented vibe in southern U.S. cities, including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Nashville, Atlanta, Memphis, Birmingham, Alabama, New Orleans, Miami, and Baton Rouge. The music was a reaction to the 1980s flow of hip hop culture from New York City and California, and can be considered a third major American hip hop genre, after East Coast hip hop and West Coast hip hop. Many early Southern rap artists released their music independently or on mixtapes after encountering difficulty securing record-label contracts

candy rap

also known as mainstream rap, the rap you hear on tv, radio, etc. It takes no talent, and most songs have few words, usually just about sex, drugs, clubbing, or gangsters. The opposite of candy rap would be REAL RAP, which is actually a decent music genre and takes good writing skills.

candy rap:The crap you hear on mtv and the radio. 50 cent, little wayne, soldier boy, etc
"ballin" "im hot cause im fly, you aint cause yo not" "blame it on the alchohol" As you can see, these songs have no meaning and are just rhymes that a first grader could come up with, except they are all about vulgar things

real rap: has political, spiritual, or just life topics, and the poetry is well written. ex: Immortal technique

rap music

Something that is tastless, and requires neither talent, nor technique. If you are a loser with no known talents, this is your ticket to fame.

rap is crap

Smart people don't listen to rap music. Why ? Because it's crap...

Give me a good reason to idolize Tupac, Snoop, or Dre. They do not speak my language, we don't share the same ideals... we don't even have the same eye-colour. I think their dances are tribal, their image stinks, and their girls are afterall biatches.

Rap is a plague. We, "the crackers", are tired of their parade of blinks and links on MTV.

PS: Ask 50cent if has any idea what represents # in music.
PS: Rap is crap.
