noun - Typically twelve-to-fourteen-year-old girls who think of themsevles as unique, avant garde, and artfully dark because they've watched Edward Sciscor Hands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, and can see the "humor" in "Happy Bunny" t-shirts (which they wear unrelentingly).

A wannabe goth, who doesn't actually succeed at the "goth" look and ends up looking like trailer trash.
Usually seen wearing wide Hot Topic pants with neon stitching and chains random intervals placed around the waist (1), some form of black band shirt (2), fingerless black gloves, orange flip flips or black platform boots. They are also usually fat, ugly, have horribly died pink or blue hair, a pus-filled acne face, and very badly applied eyeliner(3).
Other optional instructions to obtain the look: Don't shower. Try to make your body odor as sickening as possible.
This look is very difficult to maintain if you actually look in the mirror before leaving the house.
Trailer Trash Goths are otherwise known as "kindergoths" or "mallgoths."
(1) Pants occasionally high-waters, or "flooding," especially when worn with the platform boots.
(2) The Strokes, the Ramones, etc.
(3) The eyeliner is optional, but if it is worn, it must be in excess and incredibly smudged. If some sort of design around the eye is attempted with said eyleiner, such as tear drops or aesthetic curls, the proper tools must NEVER, EVER be used, and the eyeliner pencil must ALWAYS be extremely blunt. The design MUST always look a two year old scribbled across the goth's face while he/she was asleep.
When in the mall: "OH MY GOD, I see a large black trench-coat and torn fishnets under those high-water Hot Topic pants! Trailer trash goth alert. Steer clear, repeat, steer clear."
Or:
"No, we can't eat at the foodcourt. It's right next to the Hot Topic--if we go there we'll never be able to get the trailer trash goth stench out of our cute/fashionable/real goth/preppy/designer clothes.

A person who has no knowledge of the Gothic subculture and it's roots, a person in it for fashion and to look edgy aka all SoundCloud rappers in 2018 and people wearing depression/mental illness as a fashion statement

A girl who has left the Goth Girl life, stopped dying her hair weird ass colours, removed all her piercings and never wears black. Post-Goth Girls will never speak openly of their goth past, and will only talk about it to non-goth friends or their crush.

You don't see a lot of old world "original" goths anymore. Old world goths are people who may perfer classical over any death metal and they do look on the darker side of life and sometimes they wear more clothes that have an "old world" flair, almost like renissance. Ocassionally, they make their own clothes and such and they also tend to be theatrecal.
Bobby is a neo goth, with his spikes and chains and his death metal...
Susan is a n old world goth with her French stlyed black velvet caot and gray lace peasent shirt...

a 8-12 year old who wears black/dark shirts from jc pennys.
its ok to be a jc pennys goth when you are young, but anyone over 12 really shouldnt. if so, there are just a loser kid. they're often "normal"
that stupid kid in the new willy wonka is such a jc pennys goth, that tried to make him look all tough
