a domesticated carnivorous mammal that typically has a long snout, an acute sense of smell, non-retractable claws, and a barking, howling, or whining voice
1. A friend, a homie, someone you have strong ties to.
2. A man who pursues a lot of short standing relationships and is unable to function in a healthy long term relationship because of his lust for other women.
3. A tough minded person who doesn't let adversity take him down and keeps going forward. Someone who puts in the work and doesn't have a snobby attitude towards honest hard work. It's a term used in team sports for the guy who does all the unpraised hard work like defending the other teams best player, saving plays diving on the floor, etc.
