A prof roast is an activity taken up by senior petroleum engineering students at Texas A&M University, in which the students make fun of, take cheap shots at, and relive past events of the professors in the petroleum department.

A roast in which someone defends them self factually, proving one wrong with evidence and intellect. Often times this can be achieved in a serious and defensive manner, not always having to be humorous or funny.
