Political extinction event

An event that causes, or has the potential to cause, numerous people, organizations, political parties, and, in some cases, politically ideologies to become less common to the point where they are no longer are discussed and or are active in politics

The presidential election of 2020 was a political extinction event for certain political parties. Some parties that were affected may include Independent Party of Connecticut, American Delta Party, Reform Party of Florida, and Independence Party of New York.

Political Parasite

Someone who makes politics their entire social identity, and won’t shut the fuck up about politics. Generally, they hate whoever espouses beliefs stemming from a party not of their own.

Don’t talk to Karen, she’s a political parasite, and will be fervently listening to every word you say, and will try to destroy your happiness based on that which she doesn’t agree. Tom is the same way, even though he’s on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

The act of believing oneself to have particular political views, when in fact, they are grossly distorted. For example, one may consider themselves a progressive when they are reactionary, just as most conservatives are just twisted neo-liberals.

Political lighthouse

1: An individual or organization that is responsible for helping people discover and or assist them in getting actively involved with one or more nonmainstream political parties.
2: An individual or organization that is responsible for identifying problems that are negatively impacting society and get organizations, the government, and or people involved in order to try to fix it

Example for definition 1: Ana has told numerous people about the Reform Party and the Citizens Party; and she helped them get involved in those parties’ activities. Ana is a political lighthouse.
