A gun geek is someone who is enthusiastic about guns and is more collection oriented. Mostly obsessed with the newest and coolest firearm that the industry has to offer.
Oh him? He's a gun geek on Smith & Wesson stuff. He's really obsessed about that new gun they introduced last week.
A person, typically middle-aged or older, who was a geek before being a geek was popular. An elder geek is often but not always an alpha geek.
A set containing all elder geeks might include:
1. Someone who worked with the first commercially available microcomputers, like the Altairs or TRS-80s (computer elder geek);
2. Someone who played the original Dungeons and Dragons after it was first published in 1974 (gamer elder geek);
3. Someone in the United States who collected anime and manga when it had to be ordered directly from Japan.
