Someone who is (or tries/works very hard to be) the most popular person on the forum or message board they frequent. Often, the Net Cack will attract other Net Cacks. It's easy to spot a Click of Net Cacks, because they often all stick together on every subject, attack people together - as a group, tend to have this energy of 'inside joke' in their posts, and/or are rude, obnoxious, stuck up, ignorant, and verbally abusive.
The Net Cack is usually quite unpopular in their real life, has very few real life friends, is hard to get a long with, and generally unhappy.
Often, the Net Cack is also morbidly overweight, and/or has a hideous appearance, leaving them with little opportunity to work their way up the social ladder in the real world. Thus, bringing them to the Internet, where everyone has the chance to be SOMEONE.
I was really enjoying that particular message board, until the blasted Net Cacks started taking over.

A term used to describe the virtual balls of people who trash talk in an online thread because they know you can't throttle them through the screen.
"Billy is quiet and indifferent in a crowd, but online he has a net sack the size of an elephant."
Anyone who posts uniquely strange, preferably incomprehensible articles, or who manifests a persistent, extreme, and somewhat bizarre obsession.
it is important to note the subtle distinction between a net kook, a net cretin, a clueless newbie, troll, or asshole. The newbie, one hopes, can acquire a clue on the installment plan even if he can't afford to buy one for cash. The cretin is merely stupid and/or irritating. The troll is purposely pulling your leg like it got caught in some heavy machinery. The asshole is, well, simply that. But a TRUE net kook has a special fascination derived from his/her/its utter ineffability. Their behavior is irrational, if not downright weird, but they are seldom merely boring.
I tried to follow Gene Ray's writings at timecube.com, but after 30 seconds, I knew I was reading the rantings of a first-class net kook.

A phenomenon on the internet that involves the inability and tendency for most people on the "net" to not comprehend when a joke or flippancy is being used in conversation and to credulously take what is said at face value. Hyperbole, bombastic statements, sarcasm and other tools of casual language are completely lost on them. Usually those who have little to no experience with online forums and chat rooms fall into this trap as they are often this dumb in real life. Sometimes children fall victim to this mental lapse, however there is still a chance they can grow a sense of humor before drinking age.
This behavior is often used as a compulsive and lame humor device in conversation which is an "epic phail" because it makes the humorist look like a credulous cretin instead of a sharp satirist. In actuality the idiot can't help but respond to everything they're reading or hearing and just has to make a comment, no matter how stupid. Often because the idiot doesn't know how to socialize normally.

Idiot: "Really? Why would you admit that you peed your pants online? You probably have some kind of bladder condition that you need help for."
