The act of laying around in random places motionless.
Q: When should you plank?
A: When you're board.
I have to put the word "planking" here too apparently.
When one lies in a stiff horizontal position (sometimes naked) on random objects or in random places. Eg) Walls, hedges, fire hydrants, cars, fences, lights, signs, trolleys etc. Usually accompanied by someone who takes a photo and posts it on the internet.
Catherine: dude can we go planking next week end in the city?
Emma: yeah that's MADD! Let's plank on the mcdonalds drive though sign!

Planking is a simple yet effective procedure.
When performing a Plank:
1/ You must always lay face down, ensuring your face remains expressionless for the duration of the Plank.
2/ Your legs must remain straight, and together with toes pointed.
3/ Your arms must be placed by your side, held straight and fingers pointed.
4/ You must make it known that you are Planking. Saying 'I am Planking' will usually get this across. Sternly announcing it will ensure a good result.
5/ Your safety should always be considered. Properly thought through Planking procedures should always go to plan. Never put your self at undue risk.
6/ Every Plank that is captured must be named.

Planking, increasingly popular in Australia, involves people lying flat on their stomachs in various and sometimes dangerous settings and then posting photographs on the Internet.

Planking is where you take a picture of yourself laying on some obscure object as stiff as a board. It is all about having fun and coming up with some really neet stuff. Also, its a new viral craze.
My friends and I took some really awesome pictures of us planking today.

The definition from the 1970's. To place a board, between two points off the ground, in order to defecate. This is usually done to evoke terror in the unsuspecting as it was often done between buildings & high up enough to not be noticed until it was too late.
Friday night Bill & Ehud hung out on the roof top getting drunk, smoking, & scheming. When they had to take a dump they walked out on the board between roof tops & planked an unsuspecting crowd walking by. They were lucky to slip away in the darkness because people couldn't have been too happy about the planking they received from ten stories up.
