An umbrella term, and sexuality, that means attraction to more than one gender. Sexualities that fit under the umbrella are, pansexual, omnisexual, and polysexual to name the ones I know.

Stella: Well, I'm bisexual... and for me that means I can be attracted to just about anyone of any gender. Some people have it different though, sometimes being only attracted to men and women. It depends on the person of what they like and you should respect people regardless of what it is.
Bisexual-
Bis= abbreviation for Biscuit
Exual= Latin for actuall
Bisexual= Actually a biscuit

Being bisexual mean that you are sexually attracted to both genders. It does not mean you can't decide or are just confused. You will date either a man or woman and have no problem with either. Also, we are not selfish because of it. I'm talking to all of those people telling us to make up our mind. Looking at you Patricia. Being bi does not mean you're half straight and half gay. You are one whole person. Your sexual attraction does not say what kind of person you are. Another thing I am sick of is when people keep thinking that means you like them. First of all, don't keep thinking I like every person I look at. Just like when you're straight you like usually a certain someone. I don't like you Patricia or you Billy. Being confused or experimenting is completely different from being bisexual. And every time I say I like someone stop asking me, wait so you're gay/straight.

Describing something that has the romantic and/or sexual attraction to both genders. Although it was once a word used almost solely to describe someone who ACTUALLY is bisexual, it has come to also mean attention-seeking, scene kid.
Please, unless you are actually bisexual, don't come out as one. Typically, people who aren't and do, will say that they are straight again soon after. This has already lead to the much of the LGBT community to hate on bisexuals and others outside of it to think being LGBT is a choice.
Being LGBT isn't a choice, so stop acting like it.

Bisexuality is one of the many different kinds of sexualities. Bi stands for two. Most people think that the bi stands for two genders men and women. Bisexual actually means you are attracted your gender and other genders. This means a bisexual person could be attracted to men, women, trans women, trans men, nonbinary, genderfluid, agender, intersex, polygender etc.
Bisexual originally did mean to be attracted to only men and women. Over time the term evolved with the LGBTQIA+ community so it covers more genders that people could be attracted to.
Many people who identify as bisexual have there own definition for the word. Some people may be attracted to men or women or men, women, trans man, trans women, or it could mean all genders. Not everyone that identifies as bi feels he same way.
Bisexual could also be used as an umbrella statement that also includes pansexual, polysexual, and omnisexual.
Pansexual means attracted to people regardless of gender. Some people say that pansexual people are gender blind. Pansexual in no way ever means that a person is attracted to any kind of pan.
Omnisexual means that a person is attracted to all genders and is aware and acknowledge it. This is very similar to being to pansexual.
Polysexual means that a person is attracted to multiple, but not all of the possible genders.
Since your bisexual doesn’t that mean your attracted to both men and women?
Not completely. Bisexual means that I’m attracted to my gender and others. That includes, but is not limited to only men and women.
