The hitchhiker's guide was a fictional book within Arthur Douglas's "hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" series. It is the galaxy's most definitive encyclopaedia (according to ford prefect it is much better than it's nearest competitor the encyclopaedia galactica) it is later replaced by the hitchhiker's guide mark II

The best triligy (containing 5 books) in the world. IT recently became a major motion picture which totally butchred and americanized the plot , but still was decent. By the kurt vonaget of the 20th century. Totally rocks , a great read. amazing
i just read the hitchikers guide to the galaxy, i look at the world in a totally new way now

its my bible.the most genious thing ever written, it pokes fun at humans, their emotions and how they go about life. one of the only humans to actually feature in it is arthur dent, a typical englishman who happened to be good friends with another life form, only finding this out a few minutes before the earth is demolished to create a hyper-space bypass.
after leaving earth, just in time for this to happen, him and his alien friend, ford prefect, set off on an adventure arthur cannot ever quite get the hang of.
the 5 books get surrealer every minute, making the planet earth seem more and more insignificant.
it ponders over life, the universe and everything and even comes up with the most genious answer to everything.
the book also introduces us to one of the best characters in existance, marvin the paranoid android, a robot with the emotions of real people which is usually depression thus creating a depressive robot, coming up with some of the best lines ever written:
"LIFE...........DONT TALK TO ME ABOUT LIFE!!!"
"brain the size of a planet, and here i am, parking cars"

A Cougar Scout often differs from a Cougar Hunter(CH), but can be one in the same. A CS or Cougar Guide (CG) looks for
Cougar Dens (Hangouts, frequented places by cougars and affiliates). They also spot cougars before anyone in their hunting party, giving them the unique title of CS. A CS/CG doesn't always hunt to capture cougars for themselves, he assists the CH's in their challenge with his advice and his
advanced Cougdar technology. In addition to scouting a CS/CG can also hunt and go in for a kill, if the Cougar is of outstanding quality, but he prefers the chase rather than the capture.
Thank Gawd the Blanket an experienced Cougar Scout/Guide spotted the cougar out for me. I was able to prove my hunting skills right before she made her attack.
