people who say their lyrics are crap and meaningless obviously havent listened to them
'cancer' for example is so emotionally powerful and 'im not okay' even has meaning to it, a background story so to say.
mcr do not advertises self harming, they try to help kids get through their problems and beat them. gerard way (lead singer) has been through self harming, drug abuse, alcoholism and hes been bullied , and he tries his best to get kids to stop killing themselves.

MCR is a friggin awesome band!! The lyrics rock!! Who else could take "I love you forever and Ill never leave" and turn it into a song as great as Demolition Lovers? And as for Im Not Ok I Promise - It might as well be by a whole different band comletly. Sound more like Hawthorn Heights lyrically.

my chemical romance are a pretty awesome band and people that come on here just to write shitty definitions about how "lame" and "emo" they are are just stupid losers with nothing better to do with their time. And most of them have only heard one or two of their songs.

Shitty, suckass group full of non talents. they are the worst "rock" band ever. their lyrics don't make any sense, they claim they are "emo" but they aren't(even though real emo still sucks). their fans are all teenyboppers who probably didn't even know rock existed before MCR.

My Chemical Romance. A very good band that lots of people who are obsessed with labels hate. They are NOT emo, punk, scene(like you fag who hate them probably think you are), pop, screamo, or vampire rock. They are they. Proof that they are not emo, Gerard has said that we should love ourselves and never hurt ourselves. And from what I've heard from your shitty emo shit its all about lets go home and slit our wrists and pray to die.
So get the hell over your labels and listin to the music(not just Helena or I'm not okay) and then have an opinion.
And stop listining to MTV.
