Something used in music production my bedroom DJ's to sound like the pros.

meta sample

Sample of a previously sampled sound or riff.

If I meta sample the bass part from Ice Ice Baby, does David Bowie get the royalty?

sample snitch

A name given to those who search for samples used in songs. This comes from the idea that the people who look for samples are doing it only to get the original artist in trouble, which is not true. Sample snitching is not a real thing that people do.

Person 1: "did you hear about the new Daft Punk sample that was found"
Person 2: "I hate people who sample snitch"

random sampling

Random sampling means that members of `population`have a equal chances of being selected. Each individual is chosen entirely by chance and each member of population has a known, but not equal, chance of being included in the sample. Random sampling is the KEY factor of Statistics.

For example, In Random Sampling if these random numbers are generated by a calculator:
017, 029, 300, 914, 037, 849, 111, 559, 333, 400, 598, 255.
Use these to make up the list of numbers to select a sample:
0 1 7 0 2 9 3 0 0 9 1 4 0 3 7 8 4 9 1 1 1 5 5 9 3 3 3 4 0 0 5 9 8 2 5 5.

Small Sample Size

Used in statistics when there is not enough data to make a conclusion. It has two major uses:
1. In statistics, more specifically baseball statistics/sabermetrics
2. On Myspace and Facebook, when the profile picture of a private account does not determine whether the person is attractive or not.

1. Person 1: Jeff Francoeur is a good hitter! Look at what he did in 2005!
Person 2: Those 70 games are a small sample size! He's been a below-average hitter since then.
2. Random Girl: Here's my myspace, myspace.com/amisexyoraminotyoucanttellbymyprofilepic
Person 1: I'm calling small sample size on that profile pic.
Person 2: You need to friend us so we can make a statistical conclusion. :)
