Goth Music like Acid Rock, Heavy Metal and Punk Created its own Subculture in the late Seventies and Early Eighties when Fans Of the Music starting dressing in all Black, Using Heavy Amounts of Makeup, Dyeing there Hair Black, Fans Of Victorian Era literature and had a weird obsession with B-Grade Horror Films.
Thoughtout the Eighties, Bands like The Banshees, The Cult, Sisters of Mercy, Southern Death Cult Brought Gothic Rock into the Mainstream. In The 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony The Cure Became The First Goth Rock Band To Be Inducted into the Hall of Fame. Lets Hope Joy Division, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and The Damned Joined them soon.
