quantum state usb

When a USB is facing the wrong way and cannot fit into a port no matter which direction the user attempts to insert it in. A quantum state USB usually collapses after it is turned around once.

"My quantum state USB is a little annoying sometimes, but it reminds me that the universe is more mysterious and fascinating than I can ever grasp"

Ferris State University

Stop calling us a party school it's dead on the weekends unless you're in a frat (and even then only PIKE is the only one where people get wonky sloshed). At least we're not Central. We're good at any sport that has a stick in it (hockey/golf) and also football. It snows a lot but at least you know when it's coming. Great professors who know how to teach and know how to prepare you for tests. Overall it's a good university for what you're paying and it's pretty easy to get in (not as easy as GVSU, Oakland, or SVSU but north of 80 percent nonetheless). People who go to school here care a whole lot more about it than at a metropolitan area university in this state.

Person 1: Ferris State University is the worst school in Michigan!
Person 2: You just say that cuz you go to Central and you want to feel less stupid than me. GO DAWGS!

Banana Peel State

A state whose residents would largely vote for a literal banana peel in a presidential election if it was nominated by the GOP.

Yeah of course Trump dominated Tennessee in the 2020 election - it’s a banana peel state.

state-dependent memory

STATE-DEPENDENT MEMORY or STATE-DEPENDENT LEARNING is the phenomenon through which memory retrieval is most efficient when an individual is in the same state of consciousness as they were when the memory was formed.
The term is often used to describe memory retrieval while in states of consciousness produced by psychoactive drugs – most commonly, alcohol, but has implications for mood or non-substance induced states of consciousness as well.

Unlike CONTEXT-DEPENDENT MEMORY, which involves an individual's external environment and conditions, state-dependent memory applies to the individual's internal conditions.

For example, while context-dependent memory might refer to the idea that taking a test in the same room that an individual studied in will make it easier to retrieve those memories, state-dependent learning refers to the idea that if an individual always studied for a test while slightly caffeinated, it will most likely be easiest to recall what they studied during the test if they are at a similar level of caffeination.

1: "Why are you always trying to control situations, that can't possibly be controlled? You are just constantly in low-vibration state broski."
2: "Man, that's probably due to my state-dependent memory, it is a habit written in there, I use to get pissed off a lot. And you know what? That's really pissing me off."

Sub-Animated State

A substitution to Physicians calling humans "Vegetables" when they are in a coma or unresponsive and saying that they are in a "Vegetative State". Humans are animals and not plants.

The patient has been in a sub-animated state for several weeks. He/she is sub-animate or a sub-animate. The term replaces the uncouth statement that he/she is a vegetable. He or she is in a vegetative state.

The state of america in 2022

Really really really bad. All thanks to a 75+ year old man who fell off a bike and fell UPstairs

The state of america in 2022 is really bad.

Our economy might be shrinking, inflation might be at a 40 year high, and gas prices might be 7 dollars, but hey; no more "mean" tweets

a state of constantly arriving

A person who, while present the entire time, when called upon appears to have no idea what is going on as though they've just arrived.

"What's up with Shawn?"
"I don't get it. He's been here the whole time and has no idea what's going on".
"He appears to be stuck in a state of constantly arriving".
