A furry which has been stated in "Guinness Book of World Records 2008" is said to be a club genre for a subculture that enjoys dressing up as animals. "Furries" as they are known, meet at confurences and share their love of animal anthropomorphism - that is, the depiction of animals with human characteristics.
An anthropomorphism or "Furry" could be known as the rabbits in Richard Adams novel "Watership Down".

Being a Furry ,however, doesn't make you a zoophile and you do not need to have a "Fursona". Each Furry is different just like everyone not in the fandom. Some chose to dress up in costumes representing animals, they are called, "FurSuitors".
People who dress as animals are furries. The Ursa Major is a Furry award.

A furry is a person who has an extreme interest in animals that have some human characteristics. They are usually found around petting zoos, pride conventions, furcons, around children or in their parent's basement.
There are two sub-categories: Furry and Furfag.
A furry simply likes those human-like animals and talks about the a lot.
A Furfag is a Furry who at least owns a fursuit, a costume of an animal. They are found at orgies, furcons, at a not supervised petting zoo and on Patreon asking for animal pornography for 10-500$.
Some of them are paedophiles and also ask on Patreon for "Cubs", a term for infant animals like puppies, kittens, etc.
Example 1:
Person: "Hey, wanna go to the petting zoo?"
Furry: "Yes! I love these animals!"
Example 2:
Person: "Wanna go to the petting zoo?"
Furfag: "Nah I already had an orgy today."
