An obnoxious user or member on a forum that goes out of their way to make pointless, offensive, or annoying posts and messages. Often these users are labeled as spammers and will post random off-topic junk in many sections of a forum.

User: I think his policies are corrupt and the only reason he remains in office is because of his financial bribes and support requests to other branches of the government. What about you guys?
Forum Troll: I think if you actually had a life, you would turn off your monintor, walk away, and never return to this website again. Of course, it doesn't seem like either will ever happen.

He also gives terribad answers to questions, usually with a link to fail customer support and then a locked for resolve even though the guy fails to get an answer from support.
Scenario: Guy gets banned and comes over to the Nexon forums for help.
New forumer: HELP! I got banned from a trap survey, what do I do?
Knight: *Links to customer support*
New forumer: Oh thanks
*an hour later*
New forumer: This doesn't even help at all! What the heck?

An individual who doesn't play on the server who claim to be blessed by the gods of chatrp. They think that chatrp is better than the server but are also trash at chatrp. They claim that they are above people from the server but have an IQ close to a grape.

Community forums for Canadian games developer Relic Entertainment. The forum members pride themselves on maintaining a high discussion standard. Flaming and spamming are kept to a minimum.
For a taste of Relic Forums, why not go there?

Someone who posts on any type of forum without actually taking part of the activities the forums are made for.
Geerad on the GameBattles forums. He posts 5 times a day but never played a single match on the site. When confronted with the term "forum star", his jimmies usually end up getting rustled rather quickly - ending up in him making horrible defensive statements such as:
"yeah im not even a gb kid, you idiot."
