The greatest species to have evolved on the planet Earth. Only species to have developed coherent thought, conscience, faith, and the ability to destroy every last one of itself and the planet it inhabits. Only species to reach to the stars and land on the moon. Greedy, selfish, self-serving, and yet kind, compassionate, and edifying. Driven by hate, love, and power. Has the power to create and the power to destroy. Once humanity settles other stellar objects it will likely never go extinct.
Beyond the natural 'necessities' to survive and reproduce, every human's ultimate purpose is to further the spread of humanity and civilization to every corner of the Earth and the universe. Aggressive to a fault, and too intelligent for it's own good; however, some day, it may save the Earth that so long endured punishment at the hands of the human cancer. Humanity is not a plague. Western society is. However, it is the only way, and progress comes at a price. Some day the Earth will fully heal.
Intelligence is a gift to homo sapiens, the thinking man. However much we may abuse it it is better for good than evil, and some day it will shine through.
Humanity is beyond good and evil, since every individual is neither a saint nor a devil. These things we exist for are petty compared to the furtherment of advance and progress. Humanity is stupid. People are stupid. A person is smart. Democracy leads to this excess and waste, the destruction of the planet, because of the assumption, that a million people, are smarter than one.

An omnivorous mammal, commonly known to the scientific community as, “homo sapiens”, whose precise evolutionary origins remain in dispute. Though some believe that human beings are distinguished from other creatures through the unique possession of a “soul”, others believe that it is the desire of humans to find a sense of “meaning” and “purpose” in their finite existence which separates man from other beasts. A poodle, for instance, cares not whether its existence serves any greater purpose than its own being. Such thoughts have probably never even occurred to any poodle through out history, nor a gorilla or even a dolphin for that matter. Nor are they ever likely to.

Despite what people say of Humanity killing the Earth, we are not. Our planet has survived much worse, we are just diminishing the habitability zone. After we die out, another species which would have adapted to the new environment will become dominant and life will go on. The Earth will still be here, stop thinking as soon as humanity dies out the Earth dies out.
Humans are always there for each other, you may be in the worst possible situation and have no one to talk to but trust me there will always be many humans out there to lend a hand and give advice. We have all been in each other’s shoes during those hard times. Sure we got hate and violence and more messed up shit, but we got love, benevolence, companionship and much more.
We can bloody fly over seas in a matter of hours, we can community with others across the planet without delay. We can replace limbs, we are now curing blindness and deafness, we are INCREDIBLE. Take pride in what you are, think of how far your people have gone. If you're living in a third world county what can I say, you'll be there soon.
Take pride in what we are, and live it up while you can.

A race which has produced such beauties as music, art, culture, and has the capacity for compassion, learning, and kindness, a trait not exhibited by any species. The race is the only one to produce a technological global civilization of dizzying complexity that has managed to reach the limits of space and is also the only one to experience tremendous technological and social progress over time. They've gone from being a sexist, racist, xenophobic, greedy, and venally driven race, to one that has at least become far more open, tolerant, free, and compassionate. Despite what misanthropes and cynics would say about humanity's supposed "progress" and all of their shortcomings and flaws, humans are in fact making progress and have boundless amounts of potential.
Humans have made more progress in the past 3 centuries than in all of history before that point. In that time, they've made tremendous social progress, uplifting and empowering billons with the decline of sexism, intolerance, and slavery.

An intelligent species of bipedal, mostly-hairless mammals that are the current dominant species on the planet Earth. Unless you're an alien geologist that just dug up an old server and is studying the definitions on Urban Dictionary, you are one of these humans.
Humans create the most advanced, most complex societies currently known to exist, orders of magnitude more complicated than even ant societies. As we industrialized our homeworld, we started altering the environment, both in positive and negative ways. Artificial reefs help to bolster marine life while pollution from our factories, power plants and industrial sectors is accelerating the deterioration of global ecosystems.
Humans are going to leave Earth soon, though, and begin colonizing other worlds. This is called an "interplanetary civilization." The current main target is Mars, the fourth planet in the solar system. As space technology advances, we come closer and closer to our future destiny of a space-faring civilization.
Humans are mainly known for being pessimistic fucks that can't stop fighting over meaningless red herrings. However, people who like to point this out often are pessimistic fucks themselves that don't do anything to advance society and instead just whine and complain, pretending to be depressed over a few problems that humanity has. It's absolutely awful.
Seriously. Shut the fuck up and move on with your life. God damnit.
