According to Islamic Tradition, there are five basic things that Muslims should do. They are called "The Five Pillars of Islam":
Tawheed: The Testimony (faith in English) is the core of the Muslim belief that there is no god but Allah himself, and that Muhammad is his last messenger.
Salaat: Muslims pray five times per day, at special times of the day.
Zakaat: Muslims who have money must give 1/40th of their money (charity in English) to help people who do not have money or need help.
Sawm or Siyam: Fasting during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic year. Muslims do not eat or drink from dawn till sunset for one lunar month.
Hajj (Pilgrimage in English): During the month of Zulkaedah, the 12th month of the Islamic Calendar is the pilgrimage season where many Muslims go to Mecca, the holiest city of Islam
Muslims pray in a place of worship called the mosque. A mosque is called a masjid in Arabic.
*Women have a great and honored place in Islam, Quran has a chapter titled "Women" and another chapter titled "Mariam" which is a testament to the importance of women in Quran.

The name Islam actually comes from the Arabic word salam, which means peace. Islam is a religion of peace, but some do not see it as that. Remember, Islam is perfect but humans aren’t perfect. The people out there that are destroying Islam’s name are not at all representions of the ideal muslim. Islam does not support what they are doing. Also, Islam does not objectify nor oppress women. Islam says that when a girl is a daughter, she opens the gate of heaven to her father. When she is a wife, she completes half of her husband’s religion. When she is a mother, heaven lies under her feet. Islam is a beautiful religion, if you just knew.

the muslims believe that god spoke to their prophet muhammed and told him the way to heaven and the way to live by his name, and to spread his words. he was illiterate , so another man wrote down everything that he said, and the holy book of the quaran was made. they believe in most of the main prophets that the jews and christians believe in, some of them include moses, abraham, david, mary, joseph, paul, john the baptist & the disciples of jesus. they believe in jesus as a prophet , but not as christ or son of god, but as a messenger of god. in the qua'ran jesus is the second highest prophet next to muhammed. muhammed is also their last prophet, there are no more prophets after him.

the religion that is misunderstood by most of the people who have written about it before me. I'm positive that the "Kur'an" they read is 100% fake (because Amazon even sold fake Kur'ans with intro's such as "death to America"). There is nothing in the Kur'an that says you should kill non-muslims. In fact, Islam states that killing one person (no matter from what race or religion, because Islam states all humans are equal) is like killing all of humanity and that helping one person is like helping all of humanity. Plus, Islam orders that followers must believe in all prophets, not just Muhammed. The anti-Islam writings before me are all results of the misunderstanding all Islam. But I don't blame them, becuase those people are the victims of propaganda.
