laundry meltdown

1. A catastrophic failure condition that exists when one needs to SCRAM or STOP the washer machine after the water spills out onto the floor from a lose drainage hose or other operational malfunction that causes its H2O content to breach the machine's containment vessel and thus spilling out onto the floor. An secondary condition known as China Syndrome can also become evident if the said washer machine is located on an upper floor of your house.
2. A rare condition of when a dryer can get into such a state when one eventually notices burn holes in their clothing upon removing them.

That idiot up on the 3rd floor must have had laundry meltdown last night because my bathroom and closet area looked like f*ing Niagra Falls, and the neighbor form down stairs who speaks Chinese came banging on my door screaming and yelling obscenities at me in two different languages! It was an absolute China Syndrome.

When you're walking down the street and smell the scent of laundry being done. If it smells so good that you actually stop to take in the scent, that's what you call that Fire Laundry. It smells so good, it's that Fire!!!!!!

laundry hell

Laundry hell is a laundry situation that has gotten utterly out of control. Huge piles of laundry are in every room. Sometimes even renting a small trailer in order to haul all of the laundry off to the laundry mat seems to be in order. During an extreme case a person could run an entire town out of quarters before it is over.

I've got so much laundry to do I feel like I've died and gone to laundry hell.

Laundry Rock

Overproduced, melodic, often folky and/or sometimes "indie" sounding music used in advertisements by large companies to market their products and services to young and/or hip consumers. There is a caveat to this definition as sometimes well established bands and artists license their music to these very companies for use in such advertisements. The term itself refers to laundry detergent ads, which are repeat offenders for this type of "la-la," feel good music.

Typically, acoustic guitars, glockenspiels, banjos and electro-mechanical keyboards (such as a wurlitzer piano) are common timbres heard in a laundry rock piece. Also common are soft sounding, layered male or female vocals.

Big Laundry

Copious amounts of fabric stringed together that over time has accumulated a variety of dirt, dust, and other generally unfavorable materials that would benefit from being placed in a machine designed to cleanse such stringed together fabric over a period of time using detergent, water, and large amounts of spiral force over a period of approximately one hour only to then be exposed to high temperatures for an equal if not greater amount of time with equil spiral force, building up static electricity during that period of time. These newly cleansed fabrics must then be properly folded and stored in order to maintain their ideal condition for a long period of time until they are worn again, accumulating a variety of dirt, dust, and other generally unfavorable materials, beginning the cycle once again.

Remember a few schemes ago when I couldn't figure out what Big Laundry meant? Well this! This is what I meant!

Laundry Crumbs

The few remaining pieces of clothing that are at the bottom of a dryer (consisting usually of socks and underwear).

"Hold that thought, I'm just going to go empty the dryer."

"Okay, don't forget to check for laundry crumbs!"
