A term used to describe the high of heroin.. it is often mistaken as being very tired (which works out well for the user!), but it is more like "nodding" in and out of semi-consciousness. That's really the best way to describe it. It's like a series of times where the user will fall asleep for 30 seconds - a few minutes out of nowhere, and then suddenly snap into wakefulness again. They often are in very uncomfortable positions, too. (because they were not really planning or expecting to be sleeping!)..the term can also sometimes be heard with opiate-based pills, but generally it is specific for being high on heroin.
After shooting alot of H, i could see by the uncomfortable way he was sitting-with his head hanging all limp towards the ground- that he must be nodding off!
"Yesterday we did a few bags and after a few minutes, we were all nodding off."

Combination of actions developed over centuries by males who were tired of hearing and having to come up with responses to their girlfriends' incessant babble.
"And then like, oh my god, I got these cute grey and white shoes, they're so cute!! And next weekend, we're going to buy these black and white ones...."

The gesture a bearded man gives to another bearded fellow as a greeting, farewell or salute.
To give a proper beard-nod a man must:
1. Raise his hand right hand to his beard/chin
2. Stroke his chin with his index finger and thumb while giving a nod in the direction of the other bearded man
3. remain SILENT!!!!
"Did you say 'goodbye' to Matthew?" asked Tanner
"There was no need! I gave him a beard-nod instead!" replied Paul.
OR!
"Did you see that!?!" questioned Tanner.
"Oh Yes! That was a beard-nod! It's i how two bearded men say 'hello'!" answered Dayne.

when two people wearing apple's distinctive white headphones that represent the infamous ipod walk past each other and give each other a nod of recognition.
i saw someone coming towards me wearing the ipod headphones and we exchanged an ipod nod

quick, acknowledging head nod done from head facing down to head facing up, all the while with you eyes facing the person you are nodding to.
done in a manner as to acknowledge a persons presence but at the same time in leu of a handshake or actual greeting. sometimes can be seen as a polite alternative to an all out snub (ie: ignoring the person who knows you saw them).
"Seen your homeboy tray the other day"
"did he say wassup?"
"naw we still kinda beefin so we just gave each other the nigga nod and kept it pushin."

When someone you don't like or don't want to talk to right now, says hi, walks by, or is in a crowd jumping to see over people's heads just to get you to notice them and all you can do is nod while looking at them.
"That creepy guy from work who's obsessed with me kept calling my name out really loud in the lobby while I was talking to my crush"
"What did you say?"
"Nothing, just gave him the nod of aknowledgement"
When engaged in communication and you fail to listen or understand what the other person is saying. You then deploy the "Tactical Nod" to give the impression you understood so they can leave you alone already.
Sam: "Dude di you hear the blah blah blah blah....."
Me: *spaces out*
Sam: "right?"
Me: *Tactical Nod* "yup"
