Source Mic

While playing a game that runs on the Source Engine (Counter Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2) When a player yells into their mic, it creates a loud crackle knows as over modulation.

This is a common technique that mic spammers use to annoy players.

Spammer: HEY!!!GUY!!!!GET!!!TO!!THE!!POINT!!!1!1!!

Player One: OH MY FUCKING EARS!

Player Two: Dude, you've got a really bad case of Source Mic!

Candidate sourcing

posting a fake job opening in order to bring experienced candidates, people desperate for a job, in for an "interview", when all the company is really after is competitive information, free consultants, multiple opinions, or to teach them how to do something they are too inept to figure out themselves

I thought I was going for a real job interview but they were just candidate sourcing to give the "hiring" manager a clue of what products to develop next

open source

A synonym for "abandoned". It is commonly known that open-source projects all become abandoned at some stage, and thus abandoned is just a progressive state of open-source

Orphanges are houses for open source children.
The Smith's house became infested with bugs after they open-sourced it.
The beggar open-sourced his job and has no money to buy food or clothes.
