Washington State

Washington State is one of the most beautiful and diverse places in the US. It features many unique environments: multiple moutain ranges, ocean beaches, temperate rainforests, gorges, rivers, old growth forests, lakes, rolling hills, cliffs, waterfalls, pine forests, caves, hotsprings, tundra, volcanoes, glaciers, and more.
Washington has 3 national parks, and also many national forests, wilderness areas, and protected land.

Not to mention, Washingtonians are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
The state motto: Alki Chinook Jargon meaing "By the by" or "Eventually" accurately describes the way of life of most Washingtonians.

Californian (to his "bra"): "Dude, we should like totally move to Washington State, buy all their land and businesses, raise their housing prices, and like totally force our like ideals and stuff on them!"

Concerned Washingtonian: "Maybe Californians should fix their own state instead of starting a mass exodus to Washington and other states, and ruining their culture in the process."

Uninformed person: "You're from Washington? Have you ever been to the White House?"

Me: "No, I am from the STATE of Washington, you're thinking of the DISTRICT of Columbia."

Actual conversation:
Stupid person: "Washington, isn't that in Canada somewhere?"

Me: "No, Washington is actually the 42nd US state. If you were serious you should go back to 4th grade. If that was a joke, you suck at telling jokes."

Washington State

Agreeing with ":)", Washington IS the best state. I wish I lived there, instead I live in the horrible state (For lack of a better word) California.

I would give anything to move to Bainbridge Island, in the beautiful State of Washington.

port washington

A town on the North Shore of Long Island. Home to a lot of antique stores, a town dock, an annual Harborfest, bandshell etc. Seems very quaint, though really quite boring. Probably the most ethnically and financially of the surrounding towns, (Manhasset, Roslyn, Great Neck), which is not saying much. The last stop on the Port Washington - Penn Station LIRR, so you may have been here if you were drunk at 2 o'clock in the morning and fell asleep. Very good school district, though the budget was voted down this year due to an increasing amount of seniors. Though not the most interesting place on earth, it's not a terrible place to live since there are 2 movie theaters, some coffee shops, a couple of thrift stores, a library with a really nice cd collection, a new record store, and it's about a 45 minute train ride to manhatten without having to transfer at Jamacia.

Person 1: I'm from Port Washington.

Person 2: Oh, I ended up there once when I was drunk and fell asleep on the train.

Person 1: Yeah, a lot of people do.

washington redskins

In 1932, the NFL arrived in Boston with the forming of the Redskins, but after a 1936 championship game loss, the team jumped ship for the nation's capital. In the early days in Washington, they were dominant, with titles in 1937 and 1941 and championship game apperances in 1940, 1943, and 1945. The 1940 loss was the most lopsided in NFL history at 73-0. After a decade and a half of struggles, the team returned to glory in the early 1970s with 5 playoff berths in 6 years from 1971-76. This team was made up of old veterans such as reciever Charley Taylor and quarterback Billy Klimer. Their success, however, did not translate to a Super Bowl win, as they lost in their first apperance in 1972. In the 1980s, the team was revived again under coach Joe Gibbs with 5 playoff berths and 3 Super Bowl apperances. They won the championship in 1982's Super Bowl XVII and 1987's Super Bowl XXII, while the lost a lopsided battle in 1983. They achieved 3 more playoff berths in the early 1990s and another championship in Super Bowl XXVI. However, the team struggled for many years afterward, with just one playoff berth, a 1999 division crown, between 1993-2004. In 2005, the team turned it around and returned to the postseason. The Redskins appear to have a solid core for the future.

"And although Denver scored first, it was the Washington Redskins day out their today. They win in a dominating performance to take the Super Bowl XXII victory and the Lombardi Trophy."

The capitol city of the United States that has surprisingly quickly became a fierce rival to the Barnum and Bailey Circus Group. Washington DC is known particularly for providing quality entertainment to the entire world through its one of its oldest attractions, the "Congress".

Washington DC is home of the three-ring government, and Barnum and Bailey is home of the three-ring circus.
