a metal ish, cult ish band that kicks ass in many's opinion and plays in complex time signatures. It is criticized by many people and is criticized due to the fact that they never even took the time to try and get int tool and even though they say we jsut argue about stuff that we really dont know about, I wouldn't be talking considering if you don't like tool you probably know little to nothing about it so you should look into it. The singer is Maynard James Keenan, Bass player is Justin Chancellor, guitarist is Adam Jones, and the drummer is Danny Carey.

a guy who does not under stand he is being used for what he has, that guy who shows up unexpectedly to parties and social events and everyone looks at him like "wtf are you doing here" , a guy who can't make decisions for himself relies on what everyone else is doing to make a decision

The actual definition for a tool would have to be everyone if you follow the definitions of "poser." Don't kid yourself, you've tried to be someone you're not.
A tool is a gullible fool, which everyone was at one point.
So you wanna know who a tool is? Look in the mirror. Saying you're a tool because you listen to Good Charlotte? Please. You probably got made fun of for listening to them that's why you're saying it.

An individual who will do literally anything to make themselves look better than everyone else, usually at the expense of others. The tool tries to hide his/her own shortcomings by making others look small. In business, this individual proactively seeks recognition by bragging and exaggerating about his/her achievements and tattling on others who make (usually trivial) mistakes. They have a selfish motive that is driven, not to better the organization or promote cohesion, but instead to enhance their own personal gain by railroading and backstabbing their peers and making their own, usually trivial, achievements stand out in front of their supervisors. This individual is usually a complete jackass whose achievements normally don't stand for themselves without the individual constantly berating others in comparison.
I watched 'Good Morning, Vietnam!' for the first time last week. Wow...that kiss-ass Lt. Hauck really threw Adrian Cronauer under the bus when he found out Cronauer was so much funnier than he was. What a tool!

A person (typically male) from the state of California who thinks that anything and everything that they do is far better than what anyone else does. Said person sleeps with many, many women and lies about it in order to make them appear to be a gentlemen and of course to keep the fear of contracting an STD to a minimum. This person usually has homosexual tendencies, but is too macho to admit to it. This said person has an ego that is much bigger than the rest of him and usually inspires an eye-roll from a crowd every time he enters a room. Not one for intelligence, this person is usually challenged when it comes to any task involving brain power. These people usually end up in a trailer park with four ex wives and 12 children.
