Arab nativism

The notion that Arabs are true natives of all the many countries they have colonized. In Egypt this manifests as denial of the indigenousness of Copts, in Algeria of Kabyle and other Berber peoples, in Iraq and Syria of Assyrians and Chaldeans, and in Israel this manifests as the slogan "Jesus was Palestinian."

The aim of Arab nativism is to simultaneously erase the many indigenous peoples of the MENA and assert that only the colonizers are truly indigenous.

Arab Time

Arriving 1 1/2 to 3 hours late to any event, regardless of its importance when you are from any middle eastern country. Some instances are more severe, specifically in Saudi Arabia, where Arab Time is standard time and arriving 3-4 hours late for an event is expected. Confusion occurs often for expats and immigrants living in the west.

Arab Money

made popular by Busta Rhyme's song "Arab Money," arab (eh-rab) money describes the incredible wealth of arab sheiks, princes, oil heirs, etc. These people have so much money (millions and in some cases billions) they don't know what to do with it. Dubai is the capital of Arab Money.
