a gif that is used on a social media site such as tumblr to answer questions or remark on statements. they may or may not have words on them. multiple reaction gifs may be used to fulfill a single purpose.

I used a reaction gif of Katerina from The Vampire Diaries shaking her head to respond to a question on tumblr that I didn't like.

Its Dyslexia.... but for GIFs.

A person who rarely uses text to respond and primarily uses excessive GIFs to communicate.

Joe: "Hey how are you doing?"
Becky:"(submits a gif expressing her mood)"
Joe: "Haha, okay. Did you talk to Dan earlier?"
Becky: "(enters another gif that might suggest she did)"
Joe: "Becky, you're being a gif ho... Did you talk to Dan?"

over giffing

When someone sends gifs nonstop, to the point that it isn’t funny anymore.

Every time Jen sends me a text she adds 7 gifs, she has a problem with over giffing.

Describes a person who always responds using gifs really appropriately and usually humorously.

Guy 1: yea I didn't even have time to finish

Guy 1: *Wished he could send a gif that expressed how he was feeling but can't find the right one bcs of his lack of skill*

Indian GIF day

It's celebrated on 4th of May as per a popular Indian sitcom named "Philophers". On this day, you can only use GIFs and not words to reply in chats. This is majorly popular in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan states of India.
