Usualy involves an individual browsing through the internet, whilst not looking for anything in particular.

To look over the shoulder(s) of a person with whom you are currently engaged in conversation to see if you can find someone 'better' to talk to.
Connotes a lack of interest in the current interlocutor and/or in what they are currently saying, and displays a desire to, if possible, upgrade to 'someone better' (e.g. of higher social status, better looks, etc.).
While engaged in a conversation with a person at a party, you could be accused of (or at least suspected to be) "shoulder surfing" if you look over his/her shoulder(s) to check out who else is in attendance.

Verb. Clicking on a friend's profile and then clicking on profiles under the mutual friends section to find out information about random friends. Usually happens when one is bored on a Friday night.

The term "surf nazi" has been in use since the fifties to describe someone who was unconditionally devoted to surfing.
As surfing became more mainstream, local surfers became more territorial, and the term is commonly used to describe an aggressively territorial surfer.
Steve dropped out of school and now he just surfs all day, he's become a real surf nazi
A couple of kooks got beat up yesterday for trying to surf the pier in Huntington, one of them dropped in on a surf nazi

A girlfriend/wife that spends endless hours on the beach watching her boyfriend/husband surf. He usually brings up the idea of "going to the beach," implying time together in the sun, and before she knows it, she's sitting on the beach by herself. Many are located in Southern California, Hawaii, and Florida.
Kate: Is Julie coming to the mall with us?
Beth: No, she's at the beach shooting video of Keith surfing so that he can send it to a surfware company and hopefully get sponsored. She's a total surf widow.
