They always sit North-South because the director thought they looked too feeble to get up and move every few hands. At the end of the round, when it's time for you to go to the next table, you realize that these LOLs have stomped you and your partner deep into the ground. But sweetly.

Basically means you are laughing at something that is funny but either wrong, innapropiate, something you shouldn't be laughing at, or something that's just plain weird that's funny.
To summarize it, a confused lol.
