leaf plot doesn't have an actual meaning. it is a conceptual object and everybody has one. usually used for compliments when you can't put your finger on what it is you like about the person.

When your reading a book or watching a movie and there's a plot twist, but its so damn epic that "plot twist" just does not cut it.
