Not all preps are snobby and stuck up.They are normal people who just hang out with other ppl that dress the same as eachother and have a lot in common!

Ok i've been reading your definitions of "PREPS" i wear Abercrombie,AE,Hollister ETC. I have been called A "rich prep" i mean i got money and i get the stuff that i want for example i got a new car for my 14 birthday and i couldnt even drive yet, and, i've paid $200 for a pair of "ripped" abercrombie jeans, but i dont think i'm better than every one. In my school the "preps" do wear expensive stuff and have nice things but the dont act like there better than every on else, they talk to the unpopular kids and have friends who arent in the "PREP" class and at one point in time i bet every one reading this has talked about someone behind they back. i dont like labels and i dont think you should label us because we dont label you. i look at every one as an individual and i think that you should too. lifes too short to go through it hating some one for what they've got and there social status.
sure preps have nice things and have money but thats no reason to hate them.

OMG Preps are NOT bad. They are the kind of people who can have fun & are not afraid to say & do what they want.Preps are the ones who can have fun w/o drugs. : ) Preps dont even hate the kind of people like goths/nerd/wannabes/ & emo. Actually i have a few friends who have VERY nerdy friend.. So think what you want but its not true. Preps are the one that do good in school and dont act like idiots.. (Except outside of school) We were the clothes we want not that we have to have them if you can get them then do it.

Preps are people who wear clothes from expensive/designer brands such as Lacoste and Ralph Lauren. More often, however, a prep is someone who wears "popular" clothing such as Ambercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, American Eagle, and (sometimes) Aéropostale.
Most of the definitions here are not describing preps, but rather "stupid assholes". Real preps have taste in music (not some stupid anime crap) and clothing, social skills, and have brains to back it up.
I'd rather hang out with A&F-wearing "preps" than goth dumbasses who think they're unique, or emo pricks who are even worse. Hell, I wear A&F and some other "preppy" brands, and I listen to metal, punk-rock, prog rock etc. Not all preps listen to the same genres of music.
Not all preps are the same. The people who you guys are describing ARE NOT THE PEOPLE IN THIS DEFINITION. Wearing Ambercrombie does not make you an asshole. All you socially inept, akward, acne-ridden morons, you're not the one's that will succeed in life. Sure, some of you might be pretty smart, but showing up for a job interview in a greasy Legend of Zelda t-shirt isn't going to get you anything.
Now, if you don't wear "preppy" clothing or anything, that doesn't mean you're not as good as people who do. It's purely a matter of taste. I hang out with preppy kids, skaters, hell, even goths and nerds (not the fucking anime ones though). Everyone has the potential to be a nice person.
