A post intended for a large audience yet posted on a single person's wall to appear more genuine. Since proxy wallposts are visible through homepage feeds, one can advertise a trait of oneself that would be construed as bragging if in the form of a status.
Suppose you want to advertise to your friends that you are caring and social. This is impossible to brag about, so instead just find your friend who shares the most mutual friends and write this gem of a proxy wallpost:
"We had such a great time last week! I miss you so much <3"
Soon, everyone you know will see it in their feed. And, unlike a status, no one will call you on it for fear of you playing the None Of Your Business card.

How to defeat a terrorist by proxy: question their accomplishments, threaten their intelligence, and understand that their responses are based off a lack of expertise. Be wary they may supply unrelated information and statistics to derail your argument; to counter this, accuse them of hipster-ism to derail their own argument. Finally, any response provided thereafter will only provide holes in their platform. Make sure to declare victory, also make sure to remind them of their own pathetic state.

A Pedophile By Proxy ("PBP") is a person who enables pedophilia within his or her community by making excuses for the pedophile's behavior, focusing on the pedophile's good qualities while turning a blind eye to the warning signs of abuse, smearing abuse victims, smearing anyone involved with helping abuse victims make an outcry, accusing protective members of the community of being mentally ill, promulgating unlikely alternative explanations for the warning signs of abuse, accusing protective parents of coaching their children to make outcries, lobbying government officials to enact policies designed to normalize pedophilia, etc.
Only a Pedophile by Proxy would consider a child's sex abuse outcry a false allegation on the finding that the alleged perpetrator passed a lie detector test, because it's common knowledge that most pedophiles feel comfortable lying about it.
