cover smother

To destroy an original song by producing a poor quality cover version of it, i.e., "smothering" the original song.

1: That Eric Clapton band did a cover smother of Layla, it made my eardrums bleed.

2: Not another electronica dance cover smother of a Muse song!

SMother

A hyper vigilant and sometimes overbearing mother that smothers their adult child/ren with limitless love, affection, attention, devotion, loyalty, and food; with a few unrealistic demands.

While her offspring appreciates her and efforts, laughter, eye rolling, and a firm “STOP IT” are the arrows in their quiver.

However, the occasional acquiescence to her attention is always met with joy and more smothering.

This behavior is considered normal for a grandmother.

Boss: You looked a little exasperated on that call. Who were you speaking to?

Adult Child/Employee: That was my SMother wanting to discuss my profile portrait on the company website. She doesn’t feel it captured my best features and wants it shot again.

Smother

The act of Jessica Dream Munnia hovering over her dog Prince's every move. Making his own food.

I totally made my dog his own food and clothes today. Even buy him puppy diapers. I love being a smother!
