A slang used primarily in the anime community to refer to canonicly male characters who look like girls, thus "trapping" the male watchers into being attracted to a guy, which is hella gay. In recent years, the word has been called a "transphobic slur" by various groups, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The world "trap" is mainly used to describe anime femboys and not IRL trans women, and would only actually be a slur if you used the word in referance to a real trans woman. Some examples of "traps" include Astolfo from Fate, Ferris from Re:Zero, and Rukako from Steins;Gate.
Person 1: OMG Astolfo is so hot.
Persona 2: You know he's a trap right? He's male.
Person 1: Even better!

Generally found in anime, a trap is a boy why deceivingly looks female. even after realization, people are still attracted to this trope.
Guy 1: hey, you know (Trap name)?
Guy 2: Bruh yeah i got like 3 body pillows.
Guy 1: thats actually a dude.

Guy 1: You're gay.
Guy 2: Just hand me the rope, i'll get this done myself.

A Trap is a Man who dresses like a Woman to trick people into thinking they are a Woman. They are not transgender.

Acronym for Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers. A State law designed to circumvent a Federal law in favor of someone's narrow political agenda. In this particular case, laws that would likely force all of a state's abortion clinics to close down by forcing them to comply with conditions that are impossible to fullfill, such as requiring all physicians performing abortions to have admitting privileges at a local hospital when all local hospitals are unwilling to grant them based on the fact that they are abortion providers. This kind of politics is a danger sign that the extremists have taken over both major parties. Wake up America, these nutjobs want to steal your freedom!

If you’re referring to the trap that involves a physical holding cell that you were deceived to fall into, this is not the right definition you wanted to find. A trap is most of all a word mistakenly used to describe a trans woman, a feminine man, and/or a drag queen. A trap is someone who dresses up as the opposite gender for the sole intention of tricking another person into believing they are a cisgendered person opposite to their real identity. Most commonly found in fantastical scenarios, the trap (most likely a male) will dress in feminine clothing and accessories, and until they are in a sexual situation with their “victim” will they expose their true colors. Or, well, genitals. Trap is not to be mistaken with a trans person or feminine man. A feminine man does not dress the way they do to deceive anyone, it is how they wish to dress. It is who they are, not who they want others to see. I’ve written this because people have incorrectly used this outdated term for innocent bystanders of the conversation.
“Are we talking about James Charles? Such a trap, smh.”
“Nah, man, James is fr about how he dresses. He may be really off putting and probably a bad person, but he’s far from trying to deceive anyone.”
